 nificance of Muharram and the Islamic New Year:\n\n\n\n\nStart of the Hijri
  Calendar:\n\nThe Islamic calendar\, also known as the Hijri calendar\, beg
 an with the Hijrah (migration) of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ from Makkah to Madin
 ah in 622 CE.\n\n\n\nIt is a lunar calendar with 12 months based on the moo
 n's cycle.\n\n\n\n\n\nOne of the Four Sacred Months:\n\nMuharram is one of 
 the four sacred months in Islam\, as mentioned in the Quran (Surah At-Tawba
 h 9:36).\n\n\n\nWarfare and violence were traditionally forbidden during th
 is month.\n\n\n\n\n\nA Time for Reflection & Worship:\n\nMuslims seek forgi
 veness\, offer prayers\, and increase good deeds at the beginning of the ne
 w year.\n\n\n\nIt is not a festive celebration like New Year's in other cul
 tures but rather a time of spiritual renewal.\n\n\n\n\n\nHistorical Events 
 in Muharram:\n\nThe Day of Ashura (10th Muharram) is observed for its deep 
 historical and religious significance.\n\n\n\nIt is the day Prophet Musa (M
 oses) and his followers were saved from Pharaoh\, leading to the tradition 
 of fasting on Ashura.\n\n\n\nIt is also the day of Imam Hussain’s (RA) ma
 rtyrdom in the Battle of Karbala\, a significant event in Islamic history.\
 n\n\n\n\n\nRecommended Acts on Islamic New Year:\n\nReciting the Quran & of
 fering extra prayers (Nafl Salah).\n\n\n\nSeeking forgiveness (Istighfar) a
 nd making dua for the new year.\n\n\n\nRemembering the sacrifices of the Pr
 ophet ﷺ and his companions.\n\n\n\nFasting (especially on the 9th and 10t
 h of Muharram) as per the Sunnah.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDua for the Islamic

 حم الراحمين."\n\n\n\nTranslation:"O Allah\, let this month arrive
  upon us with security\, faith\, safety\, Islam\, good health\, protection 
 from illnesses\, and help us in prayer\, fasting\, and Quran recitation. O 
 Allah\, allow us to reach Ramadan and accept it from us.
